*I refer to my daughters as either the Princesses (because they are) or, separately, as Princess Elizabeth (the five-year-old with the red hair just like Queen Elizabeth I, my all-time favorite historical figure, BTW) and Princess Grace (the two-year-old with the blond Grace Kelly hair). If you know my children and/or got our Christmas card, you know their real names. I don't use them on the blog, nor do I clearly show their faces in photos posted here, because there are some freaky people cruising around the Web these days, and the less identifying info they have about my kids, the better. Of course, if you got one of our Christmas cards and are also of the freaky persuasion, would you give me a heads-up on the extent of your freakiness so I can decide your status on next year's Christmas card list?
*No, I am not obsessed with poop. I have a two-year-old. Poop is a big issue in our lives right now. If you dislike those posts, join me in praying for potty training success.
*Yes, my heart is really still in Dixie. St. Louis is a very nice place to live and an even greater place to raise a family, but I miss the South. The accents, the friendliness, the slightly slower pace of life, the way towns shut down on Friday nights for high school football, the sheer spectacle that is SEC football...I miss it terribly. Someone please build a theme park in a Southern state and hire my husband to run it - and no, Florida does not count.
*My husband's a theme park guy - not a crazy carny dude (no disrespect to carnies intended), but a long-time employee of a major theme park company (not the one with The Mouse). The princesses think this is way cool. I think he works a lot - a lot - but he loves it.
*I'll tell you when I take poetic license for humorous reasons with an entry. Believe it or not, though, most of what I write is true, and most of what happens in my life is pretty funny. Seriously. If you don't think God has a sense of humor, this blog will change your mind.
Any other questions? Newbies, don't be lurkers - let me hear from you!

I'm a newbie! I found your blog this month, and like it so much you made my blog roll! I'm in the midst of 2-yr old poop at my home too. I'm in StL. too, but like you, my heart lies elsewhere (The O.C.)
